A Shipping Policy is a good practice and it helps both sides - you and your customers. Your customers may benefit from being informed about what they can expect from your service. You may benefit because people may be likely to shop with you if you have a clear Shipping Policy in place since there won't be any questions about your shipping timeframes or processes.

What to include in the Shipping Policy

Generally speaking, a Shipping Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for processing orders; the shipping costs; different domestic and international shipping solutions; potential service interruptions; and much, much more.

Refunds & Returns

Because each item at SS Bookish Gifts is handcrafted or made to order, I do not accept general returns or exchanges. However, I want you to love your purchase!
If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 7 days of delivery with a photo and your order number. I’ll be happy to offer a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom or personalized orders

  • Book bouquets or décor items with removable flowers that have been altered or rearranged

  • Sale items or gift cards

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days once the return (if required) is received and inspected.

 

Cancellations

Orders can be canceled within 12 hours of purchase, unless they’ve already been shipped or custom work has begun.
